This photo shows the scroll end that a railing may have. This is hand forged by Andy. To do this the metal is heated up and hammered down flat then heated again to red hot and curled under. This takes several heats in the forge and several hammer blows to accomplish. The results is a very beautiful scoll end. A signature style of Andy's

The fish are swimming and each one is hand created by Andy. There is a sunburst in the center section with each ray hand hammered by Andy in the forge. To hammer each "ray", you have to heat the metal up to a red hot degree and pull the hot metal out of the forge and quickly hammer it into a taper. You do not get very long to do this as the metal cools down quickly.

The scrolls and brackets under the balcony are also hammered by Andy, each one at a time The whole piece was designed, created and installed by Andy. This can be seen at "Natural Expressions" jeweler Ronna Lugosch in Round Pond, Maine.

Wrapped stones are a favorite here in Maine. They reflect the coastal feel of our area. Here, Andy has been able to add a sweeping entrance to this lovely Maine home.
